Sponsorship with SafeRock
The E-Wheel Polo Association (E-WPA) is pleased to have a sponsorship partnership with SafeRock, a trusted partner committed to supporting grassroots sport and community development across the United Kingdom.
This page outlines the nature of our sponsorship relationship, what it means for the E-WPA and its stakeholders, and how we uphold transparency, governance, and legal compliance.
About SafeRock
SafeRock® is a company at the forefront of agricultural sustainability in its efforts to provide a natural solution to the global crisis of soil degradation. See www.saferock.co.uk.
SafeRock® is dedicated to supporting community initiatives, safety programmes, and sport participation.
Their support enables the E-WPA to invest in coaching, development pathways, insurance provision, equipment guidance, and broader sport growth strategies.
Purpose of the Sponsorship
This sponsorship exists to:
-
Strengthen the capacity of the E-WPA to deliver coaching, accreditation, and participation activities
-
Improve safety standards and access to equipment guidance across the sport
-
Support national development programmes, including instructor training pathways
-
Provide financial and in-kind resources to underpin sport growth and delivery
The sponsorship supports activities consistent with the E-WPA’s charitable and governing purpose and does not influence sport governance, discipline, or adjudication.
Nature of the Sponsorship Relationship
As a sponsor, SafeRock® does not have operational control over the E-WPA. Instead, the relationship is governed by a Sponsorship Agreement designed to support the E-WPA’s mission, while maintaining the Association’s independence, governance standards, and not-for-profit objectives.
This agreement clarifies:
-
The duration of the sponsorship term
-
The financial and/or in-kind contributions to be provided by SafeRock
-
How funds and support will be used to benefit the sport and its participants
-
Reporting and accountability obligations
-
Brand use, visibility, and recognition entitlements by both parties
-
Compliance with relevant UK law and good governance practices
The E-WPA retains full decision-making authority over how sponsorship support is applied, consistent with its Articles of Association, policies, and strategic priorities.
Transparency and Governance
In line with good governance practice, the E-WPA confirms:
-
The sponsorship does not confer decision-making rights over governance, competition, discipline, or membership matters to SafeRock®.
-
The E-WPA remains fully in control of its policies, direction, strategy, and statutory responsibilities.
-
Funds or resources received through sponsorship are applied in accordance with the E-WPA’s legal obligations as a not-for-profit sporting organisation.
-
Any conflicts of interest are disclosed and managed in accordance with the E-WPA Governance Policy and Conflict of Interest procedures.
Where the E-WPA is registered (e.g., with Companies House), sponsorship contributions are accounted for in financial statements consistent with regulatory reporting requirements.
Branding and Recognition
Under the Sponsorship Agreement:
-
The E-WPA may use the SafeRock® name and logo on agreed platforms (including website, event materials, and promotional content) in accordance with brand guidelines provided by SafeRock®.
-
SafeRock® may refer to its sponsorship of the E-WPA in appropriate communications that meet the E-WPA’s standards for representation.
All use of logos, trademarks, or brand materials is subject to prior written approval from the E-WPA or its appointed representatives.
Duration and Review
The current sponsorship term runs from 01/01/26 to 01/01/27 or until replacement arrangements are agreed.
Both parties will review the relationship periodically to ensure that objectives are being met, obligations are fulfilled, and that the partnership continues to align with good governance and best practice in UK sport.
