Our Sponsor Policy

Supporting Standards & Safety:

The E-Wheel Polo Association (E-WPA) exists to support organisations that deliver the sport safely, responsibly, and in line with E-WPA agreed standards.

Affiliation provides formal institutional membership of the governing body, recognising a club or academy as part of the national structure for e-wheel polo.

It confirms that the organisation operates within the E-WPA’s framework for safeguarding, safety, coaching, governance, and competition.

Whether delivering regular participation sessions, structured coaching programmes, or player development pathways, affiliation connects clubs and academies into the wider e-wheel polo community and supports the long-term growth of the sport.

What Affiliation Provides:

Institutional Membership of the Governing Body

Affiliated clubs and academies become institutional members of the E-Wheel Polo Association. This provides formal recognition within the national governing body structure and ensures organisations have a voice in the future development of the sport.

Institutional membership supports transparency, accountability, and shared ownership of e-wheel polo’s direction in the UK.

Insurance Cover

The E-WPA provides insurance cover for all affiliated clubs, academies, and accredited instructors when operating within the Association’s policies and standards.

This insurance supports safe delivery, protects organisations and instructors, and provides reassurance to participants, venues, and partners.

Access to Rules, Safety Standards, and Guidance

Affiliated organisations receive access to the official rules of e-wheel polo, along with safety standards, risk management guidance, and operational resources.

These materials are designed to:

  • Promote consistency across the sport

  • Support safe participation and delivery

  • Ensure clarity for players, coaches, officials, and organisers

Rules and guidance are reviewed and updated as the sport evolves, with affiliated organisations kept informed of changes.

Equipment Guidance and Setup Support

The E-WPA provides guidance on the equipment required to deliver e-wheel polo safely and effectively. This includes advice on:

  • e-wheels and protective equipment

  • Polo sticks, balls, goals, and playing areas

  • Venue considerations and risk controls

This guidance helps clubs and academies establish safe environments and maintain consistent standards across different locations.

Instructor Training and Accreditation Pathways

The E-WPA develops and maintains the national training and qualification pathway for e-wheel polo instructors.

Affiliated clubs and academies have access to:

  • Structured instructor training programmes

  • Clear progression routes and accreditation standards

  • Ongoing professional development opportunities

This ensures instructors are trained, supported, and recognised through a consistent national framework.

Eligibility for Sanctioned Competition

Affiliation provides eligibility to participate in E-WPA-sanctioned competitions, tournaments, and leagues, subject to meeting relevant entry criteria.

Sanctioned competition ensures:

  • Event insurance

  • Consistent application of rules

  • Appropriate safeguarding and safety standards

  • Recognised officiating and organisational support

Participation in sanctioned competition helps raise standards and visibility across the sport.

Quality Assurance and Ongoing Support

The E-WPA operates an ongoing Quality Assurance (QA) process for affiliated clubs, academies, and instructors.

This process is supportive and proportionate, focusing on maintaining standards and supporting continuous improvement.

QA activity includes:

  • Periodic reviews or check-ins

  • Feedback and support for instructors and organisers

  • Guidance on safeguarding, safety, and governance matters

Governance Support and Representation

Affiliated organisations receive governance support and guidance from the E-WPA, including access to policies, procedures, and best practice aligned with UK sport governance expectations.

Institutional members are represented within the E-WPA governance framework and contribute to the development of rules, standards, and strategic direction, in line with the Association’s Articles of Association and Constitution.

Requirements for Affiliation

To become affiliated, clubs and academies are expected to:

  • Adopt and implement the E-WPA safeguarding policies and procedures

  • Appoint a named Safeguarding Officer

  • Operate in line with the E-WPA Codes of Conduct

  • Ensure instructors are accredited or working towards accreditation

  • Deliver activity in accordance with the E-WPA rules, guidance, and standards

The E-WPA recognises that organisations may be at different stages of development and provides guidance to support progression towards full compliance.

The Affiliation Process

Organisations wishing to become affiliated should contact the E-WPA (info@e-wpa.com) to request affiliation information, associated association fees and guidance.

Applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the E-WPA values and standards. Once approved, affiliation confirms institutional membership of the governing body and access to the full range of support and services.

Supporting the Future of e-Wheel Polo

Affiliated clubs and academies play a central role in growing participation, developing instructors, and shaping the future of e-wheel polo in the UK.

Through affiliation, the E-WPA and its members work together to:

  • Grow the player and instructor base

  • Maintain high standards of safety and safeguarding

  • Deliver consistent, high-quality experiences

  • Establish e-wheel polo as a permanent and respected sport in the UK and beyond
